I normally don't think much of Eric Clapton (as a musician that is - I *never* think much of him as a person) but his moody, seemingly Vini Reilly-inspired work on Edge of Darkness is really outstanding

The second half has some outstanding parts, but is overall horribly paced and structured. Which is odd because the first part truly is outstanding throughout.
