No. It says they are not the default in shale, retrofit or active fault zones. FYI, Japan uses underground right of way too.

The fatal assumption was that open land would mean easy construction. The minimizing of environmental impacts (wetlands, etc.) buried the plan.

Did I not say the HSRAhas already published seceral project status reports?
January 10, 2026 at 9:39 PM
Again, we are not Japan. CA has long way to bedrock. The assumptions that follow showed false in the cost overruns.

Engineering above grade right of way has been demonstrated to cost more repeatedly. Not just in intitial spend, but operational impacts
January 10, 2026 at 9:33 PM
If not more. You're trying to separate station from service segment. If stations carry the apportioned seismic, access and safety costs of its segment the same as subways, the cost is comparable if not worse.

CA HSRA has already fully documented it.

Metro E Sepulveda station & all C line too
January 10, 2026 at 9:27 PM
Obviously you have not followed the actual cost overruns or you'd know. I can cite HSRA and Metro project status reports - can you?
January 10, 2026 at 8:56 PM
Above ground stations have the same costs. This is not the great plains. We have terrain issues
January 10, 2026 at 8:34 PM
Infill stops in a low density, less than ideal rugged terrain makes zero sense. In dense areas, surface stations closer than 1 mile reduce travel speed.

The need is a high speed route INTO the Valley, not just a transit option.

The issues of K line & coastal interconnect still exist too.
January 10, 2026 at 8:33 PM
There's no point, elevated or underground, construction requires bedrock footings. It's why the D line extension took so long and HSR is so over budget (along with delays and increased land acquisition costs.

This whole debacle is a shining example why a statute limiting public service to the mandatory retirement age for pilots/air traffic controllers makes absolute sense.

If you can't fly a plane safely, you shouldn't be running the country.

No PERSON owes any platform their presence. To combat organized evil, you must hit them where they hurt: funds.

1. Stop patronage.

2. Report behavior to authorities for enforcement and fines.

3. Band together with others who have been harmed to obtain counsel and pursue legal remedies.

If only the Democrat-controlled weather machine had targeted Mar a Lago once or twice.

Nope. They refuse to invest in new tech & like their energy subsidized tax breaks.

If we stopped investment tax credits for oil & coal, renewable energy could have a fighting chance.

I like South Korea's fusion energy: uses old aluminum, produces clean air & potable water as byproducts.

The Compendium of Library Cataloging Resources would work too. You'd be swearing on the master index of all the known publications, serials and periodicals in the world.

I would go with the OCLC or CARL cataloging reference myself.

Apparently preemptive pardons are all the rage. He'll probably get one in exchange for some Exxon oil deal

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Sounds good to me.

McDonald's or Coca Cola could stop this if they wanted to.

You really should have that checked out by a doctor. That is absolutely not normal.

I left Apple after a 6 month sojourn. Did a year in Samsung. When HMD/Nokia brings a 5G flip phone, I'm off this Pixel, unless I get desperate and do a Razr with a Click keyboard.
December 31, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I'm finding the new one is getting good reviews - better than my Pixel.

CoPilot is moving to its own model. Antropic and OpenAI retaliated by dropping Graph API from their apps
