She/Her, Academic Librarian, and Associate Professor, misplaced in the Midwest for 6 years and I'm still not done complaining about the winters.

I am going to enjoy Christmas guilt free and pray that you get your priorities straight, because you are currently a deeply unkind person and that is worse than anything else to me .

You’re so scared of fucking microplastics you’re arguing with a disabled person on the internet. My fucking tree is not going to kill you.

As for shopping local, there is no local option for me to get a real tree anyway. The money is going to go to a big chain no matter what.

I do not have neighbors who will help. They are almost all Trump voters.

Piling my family in the car with my assistive device means the tree doesn’t fit.

Please just grow the fuck up and acknowledge other people have different experiences.

I don’t understand your question.

Free shipping and easy set up. I can’t get a real tree delivered where I live.

How is my disabled ass supposed to do that?

Some of us have never needed one before.

Encouraging students to choose topics they like is that the ones I see are 1st year and they are often stuck in those boring but necessary classes (composition, communication, etc) and haven’t yet reached the more interesting gen ed classes.

This is why gen ed classes can be good when done right. I will admit some can be a waste of time (my psych 101 seemed to be trying to actively scare people from the program) but when done well they can give you a breadth of the subject enough to see where you might fit.

My biggest problem

It has been resolved.

Don’t tell the others but you’re my favorite ca’at on the internet.

My daughter is struggling with reading at age 10 but appears to be reading more than the average high schooler. (In addition to her school reading she is working her way through a space facts book.)

Gonna make the most of being in the hospital today. Somehow.

I lost 20 lbs from cancer and still have belly fat. It’s so stupid.

I’m an academic librarian and I (over) emphasize finding the things you’re interested in researching, even to my freshmen. It’s the only thing that got me through my degrees.

Take your time, Gonzo. We love you and dade and mom and the other kitties. ❤️

I wish I could just retire. Fuck. And I’m not even in Texas.
