I don’t think we’ve ever really trusted them. My Dad served in both WWII and Korea with the Australian Airforce. They knew the Americans only came to “save” us in their own best interests. We’ve been stuck with them and their bases ever since because allies are only safe if it suits them. 🤷♀️

Then save it. When the Climate Commission in Australia was disbanded by a previous right wing government they refused to go and continued their work by public donations as the Climate Council. Push back, don’t let them have it all their own way.
