Part goddess, part mountain goat. Australian ex NYC. Recovering journalist, bolshie Buddhist. Happy to be here. Hi
Old pic from a favorite beach.
Would love a swim today but half of Sydney will be at the beach in this heatwave. I’m lying low.

Meanwhile, please don’t forget to leave a bowl of water out for dogs, birds, & other thirsty critters in this heat. We need more water. So do they.

Pic on my iPhone 13 of tonight’s full moon in Sydney.

It ‘s a lovely balmy evening outside and the bright sky made it feel even balmier.
Worth doing.

Local lorikeet pondering possibilities. And no, I won’t feed him. I see others do it. It’s asking for trouble.

Beautiful Bundjalung country, where I grew up : Tweed river watched over from the Tweed art gallery lawn by a stone sheep sculpture.

This ‘memory’ dropped onto my screen today & reminds me that I haven’t been back to this beautiful place since just before covid. Way too long.

But as a non driver it’s quite a hike : two buses about 90 minutes each way. I will get back this summer tho, & into the water, I promise myself. 🤞🙏🤞

The local Jacaranda I see most days is starting to lose its blossoms, but not its rich, deep color. I will miss this brilliant splash of purple when it leaves the stage.
