100% All progress is good...even if it's an up and down, back and forth sort of progress. It's the trying that is meaningful.

I like the idea of resetting the PRs. I get in my head about how unfit I am now, but if I think of it as starting from scratch, anything feels like an accomplishment.

Revising is the best part. I love getting the first draft done, but the work after that is when the story starts to shine.

Same with the running for me too! I used to be a competitive obstacle course racer - lots of running, with climbing as cross training. One TBI and 7 years of fatigue later, I'm way heavier and out of shape. I really want to get back into things, but it's hard when I know what I've lost.

This! I haven't been in over a year, even though I love climbing. And the less fit I become, the more I convince myself not to go, because I keep comparing to what I used to be able to do. Which I might be able to do again if I just went consistently.

This is on our holiday watch-list too, but we're waiting for the kid to be home from university to start the seasonal viewing.

Well, they're all paper-adjacent, at least.

Thank you! I realized I'd forgotten the tag right after posting.

Weirdest thing...
-wrapping paper, kleenex, receipts I found in my purse, phone message sheets "borrowed" from the front desk at the gym, printed MS for a different novel, book mark, paper bag...

This! I used to run 6/7 days, 50+k a week, and people would comment on my "runner's body", which felt weird and gate-keepy.
One TBI later, my body & abilities are very different, but you can bet your ass if I'm out there running, I'm a runner.

If you run, you're a runner. Full stop.
