Amazon was the only source I could find for a book published in England in Sept. at a price higher than the British cost. I ordered multiple copies from Waterstones in England. With shipping I paid a bit more but wasn’t going to patronize Amazon. Fun to receive an email from the Royal Mail re order

I buy the King Arthur GF scone mix by the dozen and make almost every weekend with eight variations currently in my rotation. I see my 2 year old grandson almost every Monday night and he always beelines for the box in my hand. Normally not a mix person but these are stellar.

This was the first event seared into my memory. Remembering exactly where I was as it unfolded. In Catholic school we went to the church to pray. On our way back through the gym, a nun sitting listening to a radio just looked up and slowly shook her head.

We used to have a similar great store. The staff was mostly older people and they could find and explain anything in the store. Really miss that solid advice.

Following AltNPS since 2017 and call bs on the merch claim. Initial offering:some bumper stickers, later some tees, sweatshirts which people asked for. If they are in it for pushing merch, they are doing a poor job (said by someone who developed products/programs for nonprofits).

Fr friend: Trump fired Adm Fagan. She had been working on rooting out cover-ups of sexual abuse and harassment at the CG Academy, among other things. Suspect the leadership of the USCG has been in lock-step with the Trump agenda. Completely diff org than the one in which XXXX served for 30 years.
