Extremely strong start!! A series that is explicitly and heavily in modern dialogue with the history of GL literature in Japan, and also a really good story in its own right. This one's got it.

The Ideon: Be Invoked (1982)
Very rough but a standout. Tomino has set up the characters as his bowling pins and now he knocks them down one by own with his own hands. Even with light sketches for characters, a lot of sadness.
End of Eva draws a lot of structure and imagery from this film.

The Ideon: A Contact (1982)
Definitely rushed from the condensing of a big TV series to a single movie, but still very compelling nonetheless.

Princess Mononoke (1997)
I teared up like five separate times, most of which weren’t even the times I was expecting. Been many years since I’ve watched it, and it has only grown in power and meaning since then.

UNDERTALE (2015)
After literally a decade, I finally get through the Big Game.
Even though I'm crap at shmups and had to constantly jam healing items, this was of course as good as I expected.
Extremely heartfelt, fun conceits, amazing music - it's very clear how UNDERTALE became big.

UNDERTALE (2015)

My family was a Mac family even back in the 90s before the iMac, so the first computer I used would probably have been some grey box that my dad had. What I actually remember is my first computer, which was I think some variant of the Performa that looked exactly like this.
