TORONTO SUN: "hailed as a champion of safer streets and environmental progress, has become the face of Toronto’s cycling movement"
Thank you @escapecollective.bsky.social . Words matter: "[pro cyclist] Thibault Guernalec left with multiple injuries after being hit by a driver during training". Guernalec is the second pro involved in collision this week as Lorena Wiebes was the victim of a hit-and-run.

Where is the UCI?

I honestly can't decide which exchange was more disgraceful.

I keep thinking about how much of the so-called traffic delays on Bloor W can be attributed to the sharp decline in speeding:

When it comes to bikeways Ontario already has standardized official plans (I mean I guess technically OTM Book 18 is more a guide; regardless feel sorry for the poor folks who are going to have to update this post Bill 212 & 60):

Got to meet @jagmeetsingh.ca at @torontolifemag.bsky.social Most Influential gala, and thank him for his TVO Political Blind date episode with Doug Ford. Capturing Ford say "You're nervous when there's no bike lanes. At least I was" was key to building broad public awareness of Bill 212.

So this is fun! Thank you @torontolifemag.bsky.social for giving recognition to this cause, and to everyone for helping fight back against provincial overreach to save our bike lanes:

So not an official Cycle Toronto position, but I'm really struggling to understand the overall design (no alt text, sorry):

Good news, everyone! Ontario is investing about the same amount to fixing potholes province-wide as they're spending on another 401 tunnel study.

"It’s important to note that some of this rather conservative watering down is being led by councillors, and happening under Mayor Olivia Chow, who are all perceived, nominally, as progressive."

Or Cycle Toronto's push for a more ambitious cycling plan rather than Tory-era status quo. (We lost.)

Toronto's anti-protest "bubble zone" bylaw is 50m.

This is what the proposed 200m encampment clearing from schools/playgrounds bylaw would look like at Dufferin Grove Park. (It's the entire park.)

"Doug Ford doesn't actually care about bike lanes! The bike lane provisions of Bill 212 and Bill 60 are just distractions!"
