It seems like it doesn't matter- fish fuels are still more profitable for reasons I don't understand. Maybe we need statistics on the relative profitability on each power source

There is a solution to the parking problem that is used in many countries. It's called "UNDERGROUND PARKING". One space for each apartment or as many as needed for commercial buildings. Very simple and widespread in (as an example) Santiago Chile. Boom. Done. Discussion over.

I have adopted panpsychism but don't believe that my "soul' will persist and it's made me feel less special. I am just a temporary vessel that allows the universe to observe and think about itself, just like all humans and higher animals. My conciseness doesn't 'belong' to me

What puzzles me is that there seems to be a drive among some philosophers to go to great lengths to discount the existence of that which Descartes said we cannot doubt (e.g. Daniel Dennet). What interests me is why these philosophers are so motivated to acknowledge the existence of consciousness?

There is a tride and true method to avoid this kind of mistake. Sweat every detail, question every assumption, put sanity checks in your software, generate multiple plots for every one you publish. Be extra suspicious of preliminary results that support your hypothesis.

It doesn't take genius- this should be the foundation of every scientist's toolbox. Of course, this only makes sense if you want to tell the most accurate story that your data supports. If you have a preconceived idea of what you want to find, you take the first result that supports it.

Swapping + and - in an equation, failing to correctly compensate for the changing value of GDP over time. If I had ever made a mistake like that in my scientific career, I would have retreated to a cave in the mountains to live out my days as a hermit.
