Imposter syndrome is REAL! Sometimes I pass up on things I really should just put myself out there for. When I do get past it, I convince myself I have little to lose and everything to gain. The risk/reward ratio there is HEAVY in our favor.

I’ve used DataCamp for years to learn new things. Outside of that, picking up small and diverse freelance jobs has forced me to self teach new things or learn more about different domains.

I just had one of those painful conversations.

SME: "We've got loads of data, what can you do with it?"
DS: "What problems are you trying to solve?"
SME: "I was hoping you could tell me..."

Then SME loses faith in what DS can do, opportunity missed.

Ideally you're a data scientist that already has some domain expertise, but that's very hard for niche work (DoD is a great example). Asking introverted individual contributors to join teams and start asking questions can be really tough.

I just saw the same thing. I noticed he updated the link on the cards and started referencing that. I'll probably go back to citing machinelearningflashcards.com until it's actually connected.

I don't know if "pirated" is the right word. I purchased them directly from his website, then like to share them (listing his website as the source) because I think they're great.
