I hate them, but if I avoid self-checkout at these stores I'd be there all day; they often have one person checking people out. Another way the shopping experience at these urban stores has been ruined.

I haven't had problems with bringing in a messenger bag or reusable bags at the 300 H St NE Giant. The self checkouts are very finicky though. Safeway in MVT I never go to now.

Yup, the DOGE people are still there, they're just installed as GC or whatever other position within the various agencies.

I think the issue is mostly port traffic that can't use the tunnels for whatever reason - I wonder what they are doing now? Going through downtown? Around the beltway?

Pretty sure Russia and Nigeria are the only ones who have ever regularly qualified. China has once or twice maybe.

Beyond that, I think rental bikes should be safe and usable for the teens who clearly are already using them. And to me that means making sure they are not the fastest things out there when on bike infrastructure.

I do think the scooter speed limits were set poorly - too slow for bike lanes.

I agree it can be an issue for people who like to ride on busy streets without bike infrastructure. From what I experience, most bike traffic in bike lanes and on trails is right around 15mph except for a few really fast people.

Hah, we just tested this the other day and 1st St is a little faster if you hit the lights.

To the original topic, the Lime and Veo bikes don't even require you to pedal. I think 15mph assist limit is fine in that case. Pretty sure the speed limit on the MBT is supposedly 15mph anyway.
