I'm glad she gets it now. Now is the 3rd best time to pry the Democrat Party out of the clutches of corrupt neolibs, and we've maybe got one shot at doing it with elections. (The 2nd and 1st best times were the two terms of the Obama admin. It was part the change I hoped I was voting for in 2008.)
New era. Younger leaders.

Michelle Obama gets it.

Come on man, if the answer to all these questions weren't "apparently so" then this thread wouldn't exist.
Lots of folks replying that Dems are Ok w this. Really? These tactics? Abandonment of rule of law? Yes some are supportive of some deportations but the constant violation of civil rights and unaccountable police force? Come on man.

The latest polling in the House shows Trumpism has an approval rating north of 70% among Democrats.
The House voted 341 to 79 to fund Trump's war-mongering foreign policy agenda.

Only 57 Democrats voted NO.

I'd pretty much given up on understanding skiffle when Billy Bragg published his excellent book on the subject, Roots, Radicals & Rockers. I'd call it essential reading for anyone interested in any kind of 20th century pop.
70 years ago Lonnie Donegan hit the UK charts with Rock Island Line, kicking off the skiffle craze that inspired the Beatles, the Stones, the Who, Cream, Led Zepellin, Pink Floyd etc

I'll be discussing skiffle with Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2 Weds 14th Jan at 9pm.

In 2028, thank goodness, we'll have the opportunity to vote for a POTUS who will protect our precious oligarchy.
Governor Gavin Newsom speaks out against a proposed initiative to tax California billionaires: “This will be defeated — there’s no question in my mind... I’ll do what I have to do to protect the state."

This is one of my all-time favorite recordings.

As a boy, Idris Muhammad lived next to a laundry and worked hard to get his hats to sound like the steam press -- in sections of this, you can really hear how it paid off.

Tim has been posting a lot of wonderful stuff under the 1001CoverSongs tag
Inventor Laurens Hammond (January 11, 1895 - July 1, 1973) gave us an electric clock, a bridge table, & the Hammond organ. Let's honor his legacy with Emmanuel Riggins' groove on Grant Green's version of James Brown's "Ain't it Funky Now."

Over the X years since you realized U.S. democracy was in Big Trouble, what are the notable attempts made by your favorite politicians to strengthen democracy in a meaningful way?

Asking for a friend who's stuck with only "Feingold" as an answer.
