Wow! My dad had a slighty newer Commodore calculator, maybe 77-79. Same style and colour buttons on the keyboard, but 9V battery and 7-segment bubble display.

I think accessing the memory over ISA could be a bit slower.

I used my card in the mid 90s on a slow 386SX ( 16Mhz) set it up a a second Linux machine on home network. With 5 megabytes RAM it managed to compile the kernel, it took quite a while.

I had a slightly smaller board that would hold 4MB of 256kB SIPPs. It came with 512kB installed. I made a trade with someone and got the remaining 3.5MB worth... quite a bit of soldering but it worked.

If I remember right, the early models had improved but incompatible graphics similar to the IBM PCjr,SN76489 sound chip and DOS in ROM that set them apart from the typical true blue PC and PC clones from that era.

I agree. The pictures are nice. I looking through the add I some nostalgia even though I never had a Tandy PC. Maybe $300-$600 from a very interested collector.
