Proud of a lot of the writing on my weird little blog here, shame it doesn't have any readership but... it's pretty niche tbh. Though if your architectural interests do incline towards the likes of Habraken, Turner, Team X, well then please have at it...

The government sits and watches as Heba dies. It's heartbreaking, horrible, almost impossible to compute. Didn't people vote in the hope (however forlorn) of ending the Tories' psychopathic mode of government? Yet on it goes, under Keir Starmer. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

A serious indictment of our politics and media that CETA, which has been adjudged to be unconstitutional by the Irish Supreme Court (Costello vs the Irish Govt), was passed overnight by the Government and there’s barely a ripple of curiosity, let alone rigorous questioning.

Coffee thoughts:

Ireland is a polity where you can go and visit a Minister in a constituency office on a weekend to ask for help filling in a form.

The distance to/from officeholders is effectively zero.

But the distance for most people from *power* can be (invisible to them) huge.

Judge Kerr said he accepted that this was not a terrorist case but that the pipe bombs had been left to "cause fear and distress and in order to achieve a sectarian aim of stopping the GAA using public pitches".

Pipe bombs not terrorism, holding signs in support of Palestine Action however, is.

My Moon Calendar 2026 has landed!

It is inspired by medieval animals. There are peculiar animals and S. Francesco with a goat. I love it, I hope that you do too...
Today is Bandcamp Friday so it's a good day to order from me, thank you for supporting my work!

Horrifically violent footage from Saturday. And still no statement from Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan, nearly a week on.

It seems to me that what Morgan has very obviously done here is considerably worse than the stuff that had coppers storming through Nicola Sturgeon’s front door and digging up her back garden live on national television, and everyone is saying it’s old news and there’s nothing much to see.
