C'est que l'impératif est le mode de l'ordre, alors que le subjonctif est (entre autres...) le mode du souhait. Et c'est logique : on ne peut pas "donner l'ordre" à quelqu'un de vivre heureux ; ce serait une contradiction dans les termes. On ne peut que le lui souhaiter...
