1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

…they complain about not being able to make women prey.”
It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.

Kehlani Turned Her Grammy Moment Into an ICE Protest and Didn’t Flinch [Video]
Kehlani Turned Her Grammy Moment Into an ICE Protest and Didn’t Flinch [Video]
Kehlani used one of music’s biggest stages to make her voice count. During her Best R&B Performance Grammy acceptance speech for “Folded,” the Oakland singer shifted the room from applause to accountability, calling out the deadly ICE raids happening across the country and urging artists to stand together. Video Instead of keeping the moment polished and safe, Kehlani leaned into purpose. She reminded everyone in the room that influence does not stop at chart positions or trophies. “Everybody is so powerful in this room and in this room later,” she said, framing the awards show as a launchpad, not a finish line. Her message centered on unity. Kehlani stressed that collective action matters more than isolated outrage, especially in moments when communities are under pressure. “Together we’re stronger in numbers to speak against all the injustice going on in the world right now,” she continued, pushing for artists to move as a community instead of leaving the work to a few outspoken voices. The room reportedly reacted with a mix of cheers and stunned silence as she made her closing statement impossible to miss. “I hope everybody’s inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what’s going on,” Kehlani said before ending with, “And I’ma leave this and say, f**k ICE.” That final line landed hard. It turned a standard acceptance speech into a moment of protest, placing immigration enforcement and state violence directly in the Grammy conversation. By the time the music swelled and the cameras cut away, Kehlani had already done what she came to do. She made sure the spotlight traveled far beyond the stage and onto a reality too often ignored.
