This is simply how things are.
At this point, the reason to draw is not to be seen by the creator, but to show your love- even if they won't see it.
Though, I admit, that is a little bitter to hear.

When one draws for, say, someone like Toby Fox, a man who is most likely unavailable, it's only expected that he may not see it when you draw.
That sentiment then expands to other creators. If a nice artist I like doesn't see it, it's alright. If you don't see it, it's alright.

As an artist who does a lot of fan art, I think it might help to know this:
While it could theoretically sting a little for someone who spent an hour of work to not be recognised, I'd say most healthy people recognise that the people they drew for might not see it. It's a fact of fan art creation.

funny thing, tumblr is actually where most of my interactions come from. like, im a small artist, so the stuff on tumblr is usually 50~100 interactions (likes and reposts combined)
but compared to twitter's 1~3 interactions . yeah, it's clearly a lot better

like, i love making comics. i dont know if, by that age, i'll have used my hands for so much stuff that they begin hurting. that would suck
