I was set to make a donation to the local food pantry today prior to checking their website. A partial shot of their rules below. No. They are not going to starve others, and get my $. I will find another way.
Must come only once every 30 days. Must bring proof of residence such as current phone or utility bill each visit. Must bring photo id each visit. New clients must bring a Social Security card for each family member.

According to CBS news, so far in 2025, we’re averaging >5 of these events per week.
So far in 2025, there have been 80 mass shootings in the US, including the most recent incident at Florida State University, according to the Gun Violence Archive. That’s a little more than five incidents per week. The Gun Violence Archive defines a mass shooting as an incident where four or more people are shot or killed, not including the shooter.

At the entrance gate of a university in South Africa, the following message was posted for contemplation. “Destroying any nation does not require the use of atomic bombs or the use of long range missiles…it only requires lowering the quality of education and allowing cheating in the examinations by the students. Patients die at the hands of such doctors. Buildings collapse at the hands of such engineers. Money is lost at the hands of such accountants and economists.
