Listening to the episode of @mitchdav.is's podcast where they talk about redundancy.

Gotta make sure the project/work can be spun up in a usable state in the shortest time too. Get those factories/seeders, make sure those .env.example files are up to date. Cut that friction as much as possible.

As a web developer, I can spend ages trying to make a website look beautiful and be perfectly responsive on all screens, only to then get a bug report about some UI I never considered

It's comforting to know that even big companies can mess it up too 😅

Chat GPT is great - I use it every day to help with automating tasks, generating documents and outlines, translating some file into another format, code, all sorts

I don’t like that it’s just conversations in a browser - I want it to be in my operating system, seeing everything, across all my apps

Inspired by @justinjackson.ca’s Laravel starter pack, I’ve thrown together one of Australian Laravel folks!

Keep in touch with some local people sharing your affinity for the Laravel framework, between Laracons.

Missed people? Let me know!

Little video of me deleting the AWS Rekognition collection containing face data from Laracon AU, so the app will no longer recognise you in selfies 😊

Apologies for the two cuts I had to make, Bluesky has a video length limit.

What a good looking bunch! So great to meet @joe.codes in person and spend some time together after chatting online for the last year ☺️
Y'all. @dyrynda.au and @mitchdav.is created an incredible companion app for @laracon.au that really enhanced the experience.

Now this morning I get a dynamically generated personal recap video based on photos I'm tagged in???

Come on 👏👏👏

These videos were really fun to produce, and so nice to look back on these memories of meeting friends new and old ☺️
Emails are going out now as a bit of a wrap to this year's @laracon.au

Had such a great time, and already thinking about ways to go even bigger and better in 2025!

Good thing there's (just under) 12 months to think about it!

Been lamenting with @mitchdav.is that there's not really an accessible pool near me, and all the adult classes, well, don't exist.

Registered interest for one months ago, and after talking about it with Mitch the other day, just got a call to say they're starting one next week! 🏊‍♂️
