A full and inspirational day so far at #SST25 #SST2025 - Margaret. kamitsuka’s plenary paper on deferred desire, skilfully integrating John 20, Song of Songs, and artistic portrayal of Mary meeting the Risen Jesus left much to ponder on.

A disappointing result at the Champion Hill stadium where the difference in quality between 1st place Dartford and 18th place @dulwichhamletfc.bsky.social was just too great. Always a good afternoon either way.

First time worshipping at our ‘home’ church since Christmas, after a series of opportunities to lead and preach with Lynley in various other places. All a privilege, as it was to enjoy the freedom to gather in worship today. Mindful of those who do not enjoy such freedoms.

In today’s theology news, a very worthwhile time with NTC colleagues talking about how to engage with the work of lapsed/disgraced theologians. No easy answers, but a rich conversation.

It’s only Wednesday and already a week of cultural extremes: Zadie Smith on Monday at St Martin in the Fields; band practice at Bromley Salvation Army on Tuesday; Paddington at Dulwich Picture House this evening.
