Ok I gotta specify. Everything except the renderer is native. They basically launch that under proton and then start the main program which is built for linux. There's this clip explaining it in detail

Resonite actually has a native Linux port. You don't lose anything except some clipboard functionality

My man you are way better than 99,9% of all company leads out there. Under the current Resonite team it is a widely accessible tool that offers an incredible amount of customization without anti consumer downsides. You keep adding to it and your work is very appreciated. Keep being awesome and cute

Really depends where you hang out. VRC has the benefit of having everyone pander to quest users so popular worlds are usually very optimized. Most people in Resonite just don't give a shit. I usually sit around 60 in most worlds but I'm still used to way worse

If you wanna have a feeling about the progress towards shaders just check the progress reports on the custom renderer. Once that's done it won't take long for the popular VRC shaders to have ports or recreations that look identical
