LOL, my husband says the same. Instead of saying the cat's coat looks good he says her "feathers" are nice! English is HIS second language as well ;)

Funny, my mom used to ask if we were feeling"punky" when we were a little bit sick. I have never heard the term any other way!

They offered me OR-allowed underwear for my breast surgery. Otherwise, no "outside" clothes in the OR. Probably to maintain as clean an environment as possible. Also, if you need a catheter, they will need access. But I hear you, hospitals are an experience, all right. Hope all went well.

Does it have to be a pill? There are liquid iron supplements. I've never tried them personally though.

I really loved the recipe that started with "check the oven for pots and pans" before the preheating instructions. My mom was a store-things-in-the-oven sort, so I learned to check first anyway :)
