My husband and I are both horror artists, and we've collected quite a bit of art over the years from shows we have done and friends we have met along the way. Our house tells our history and I thought it would be cool to share.

Found these in the back of a cupboard. I bought them in my twenties while visiting my mom who poo-pooed my purchase, claiming they weren't art. I stood up to her & got them anyway citing that her not personally liking them doesn't mean they are without merit. What a happy rediscovery. #art

My glass french presses tend to shatter around the holidays (Including the one that gifted me a baseball sized blister I got on my foot one Xmas morning). You can't imagine how excited I was to get this giant 50 oz. metal press today. Take that glass presses!

Curiosity got the better of me so of course I had to try- Hot Dr Pepper. I heated the soda with some thin orange slices & garnished with a slice. It's actually tasty, the spices in the soda come out but it's very sweet, could go well with some rum added. #food #winterwarmer

My paternal grandpa was the 1st of our family to move from Tonsberg, Norway. Every Christmas my grandma would make krumkake. When she passed, I took up the mantle. It's a labor of love & my favorite cookie. I love to remember her when I make it & share with friends. #baking #foodisalovelanguage

I've been seeing some shaming on social media regarding thrift gift shopping for kids & I'm curious: what's the earliest holiday gift you remember getting? I was 4 & it was soap. Soap & I friggin loved it. My grandpa also built a dollhouse which my nieces now have. Thrift & handmade gifts rock!

I love making dioramas that you can also wear! This is my Pennywise corset which is an homage to the gutter scene from "It". I applied a stone finish to the corset fabric and featured Pennywise on the modesty panel. So fun to make! #darkart #horror #pennywise

Our House is Our History: I'm a big folk horror fan so when I saw this piece by Jason Pasnikowski I knew I wanted it for our collection. It's still one of my favorite pieces & the skill it must have taken to blend blown glass with driftwood? Amazing! #darkart #glassblowing #horror
