In my experience documenting is more often than not also an exercise of exploration. Writing my ideas down really forces me to think about them, find holes to sew and new paths to follow.
GDDS are a thinking tool - practically useless outside of communicating thoughts from one mind to another (or recording them from present mind for the same mind in the future). If you think a GPT has a place in writing them then you never understood what they were for in the first place.
