for the record i don't think that will happen and i think everyone is getting laid off. this is pure hypothetical territory we're in

i don't think there would be much outrage if a company came out and said "we have some scripts that organize our build pipeline to optimize memory use, and those were written by AI".

and it would be quite funny if programmers created a tool that only ends up laying off programmers.
