If anything, we're merely automating its production, as DeepDream did a decade ago with Van Gogh. Few complained that we did, even fewer are complaining now. Perhaps we are just not ready for how fast turnover has become in the age of AI, but it is no different from Anime or Bauhaus taking over. 2/

The Studio Ghibli style is no longer just a style; it is now an art movement at par w/ Fauvism, Cubism, Dadaism, Surrealism, etc. It's no longer "owned" by Studio Ghibli. Artists have been doing Ghibli-inspired art for years - art that has also been commodified, an inevitability under capitalism. 1/
