I love the gameplay of those types of games, but I absolutely do not need other people's excessive toxicity.
Like, I could understand to some extent if it's a ranked match or something...but free play? We don't need that. Take your unresolved issues someplace else.

I think I applied my "League of Legends" fix to DbD the last time i played.
Either completely disable, or physically hide the chat. If people need something from me, they can use premade callouts, or just hope I figure it out.
Stress went down ~90% for me.

As another Monster Hunter vet, this sounds enticing, honestly. I'm certainly not scared of soloing things, and some new mechanics sound like fun.

Maybe it's pointless. Maybe it's stupid. Maybe I'll never be good enough. I've watched plenty of people pass me and reach varying levels of success. I'm still the smallest streamer I know, and this is after almost 6 years of trying.
I still want this, and I haven't given up trying to get there.

There really is no other way. I used to fool myself into thinking that if I got picked up by a group or a corporation, that everything would come together, and I could improve while having support and amenities and all that.

I've long since lost my "endlessly positive" facade on social media, but i also try not to whine too much...but it sucks.
It's painful being where I am. I've missed so many streams because i thought "no one shows up anyway, why exhaust yourself being energetic and talking to no one?"

And i agree. I'm 'okay' at a good amount of things. I need to work up to being GOOD at a few of them, and then get people to see them.
