Unintentionally a pretty fun way to find some people's AT Proto project/blog

I love this so much, it looks incredible.

Mackuba's labeler list is a good list of all labelers, but "available" to me means "active" and we don't have that. The girlbye.social labeler has been down for months now, but people still subscribe, find out its labels are inaccurate, and then unsubscribe.

“This looks cool, lets build a thing with it” is peak content tho, makes programming feel so accessible.

How does GDPR even work considering we apparently live in a world where companies can just lie and there's actually 0 legal accountability, at least according to Random Man Who Runs an AI Company

It, of course, also has a giant AI generated image at the start, like every terrible opinion piece these days.

Public likes are definitely needed for the current like system to work, but I imagine a private like system would involve giving systems like feeds and users authorization to access your likes. Not advocating for it, but it could definitely exist on atproto.

Agreed, although I imagine whatever route bsky decide to go, people will be upset and a client will pop up that does the opposite.

Honestly makes me wonder, if/when they do private repos, will likes be automatically migrated into a private repo or will it be public by default?

Google tells me MSI Afterburner (it’s what I use for fan control) doesn’t work on linux, but this youtube vid might help?

I'm guessing it's a "show me less of this" but now it'll have a thumbs down icon next to the heart on a post instead of behind a meatball icon. Not surprised people are just reading the header and making posts, people do have a preconception on what a dislike button does.

I also can’t find who runs the labeler, so it’s impossible to tell if it’s actively malicious or not. Also means the person can perform other unadvertised moderation while remaining nameless, hard to trust it.

Jay's article is definitely a really good piece for creating the understanding that Web3 doesn't necessarily mean "blockchain currency". "Authenticated" works well especially with atproto, among people who cast doubt about atproto's promise of decentralization :)

Too mouthy I think :p Web3Weekends flows better, but I know that I would sadly not show up to avoid stigma among less techy peers. A different name could be more inviting, but I'm not familiar with the people involved. Web3Weekends might just be the right vibe for them. I hope you have a good time!

For sure, definitely a more technical term.

It’s the last sentence:

“If you agree with this but don’t want to use the term “Web3” for whatever reason, I propose using “Self-Certifying Web Protocol”, or SCWP for short, as a more concrete and technically descriptive term for these technologies.”

Web3 is Self-Certifying
There’s been a lot of discussion lately about what Web3 is and isn’t. Here’s my definition: Web3 is user-generated authority, enabled by…
