AMARIS PARENTS ENCYCLOPEDIA EORZEA ENTRIES 😈😈

a fan made encyclopedia eorzea entry that reads:

A self-made woman from the base of Abalathia's Spine, one would expect that someone of her background would treat the world around her as hard as it once treated her. In response to her trials and tribulations, she leads the settlement of Fallgourd Float with a kind and fair heart.

While today she stands as a respected figurehead amongst the residents of the Twelvewood, that respect was earned through hard work. At age sixteen, she ran away from her home - leaving behind the family that seemed to admonish her own existnce - and set off for the jewel of the desert, Ul'dah. Trained in the art of coinkeeping, she quickly rised up in the ranks as a highly sought after fiscal advisor for many of the Ul'dahn elite. Despite her sucesses, this was not the life she wished to lead. Upon a chance enounter with a young man from the Dravanian Hinterlands, she finally found the life she truely wished to lead.

As a child, Mikos differed from even the most studious of Sharlayan youth. While even they found their heads swimming on their third pile of texts, Mikos would search for a fourth. From sneaking into the Great Gubal Library to asking visitors to the colony, there was not a single source of knoweldge that he did not crave to understand.

It was this craving that lead him to admitance into the Studium back in the Motherland. Respected amongts his peers, Mikos was on track to begin the process to earn his marks if it were not for a fated Summer trip to Uldah where he fell head over heels for the young woman who bested him in a game of cards.

While his formal education persuits ended shortly after their meeting, Mikos is a proud historian of Fallgourd Float - traveling within and outside of the Twelveswood as he continues to learn all he can so that he can do what all who hold knowledge should. Pass it along to the next generation.

recouperating from finally finishing my 30 page essay on mcdonald's by making encyclopedia eorzea style entries for amaris' paternal grandparents 🫶🏻

Ferenc Stiel

A respected man to highborn and lowborn Sharlayans alike, Ferenc
Stiel takes great pride in his vitality at seventy years young. True to his
family name, it is rare to find him without schematics for a project or ten to pour over.

Originally hailing from the Sharalyan colony in the Dravanian
Hinterlands, Ferenc originally intended to return to the then
abaondoned colony to investitate the mechanical structure that made
an untimely appearance at the bottom of the Thaliak River. This
very well could have been his last journey across the salt if it were not
for his beloved wife of fifty-one years, Delinke, encouraging him to not
stick his nose where it truly does not belong.

While his primary work still lies in more industrial metal work, he has
found a new interest in small toys and novelties - secretly hoping to live
long enough to gift them to his future great-grandchild.

From a working family hailing from the Isle of Yorn, the Branscombes,
Delinke always sought to find the finer things in life. While not an academic herself, she opted to take the chance to move to the
Sharlayan Colony instead of the Motherland, in hopes that she would
find those finer things with those who she beleived to be of a similar
working class mindset.

From the second she stepped onto Eorzea's shores, she found herself
finding less passion in fine silks and gemstones and more in the
community that she found amongst those who littered the Dravanian
Hinterlands. While unable to match wits with the scholars, she had
something that they did not - a natural talent for the culinary arts - and
for these lucky scholars, gone were the days of Archon Loaf.

To this day, Delinke finds that she still has the same top client as she did all those years ago. This client being her husband of fifty-one years, Ferenc.

"As a current resident of Sharlayan, I believe I would be within my right to purchase the property, no?" Alphinaud's voice is as clear as the skies above them and it brings both Amaris and the well-meaning Twin Adder representative to a pause.
"I suppose that would be corr—"
"Just a second." Amaris cuts the man off harsher than she intends, a mix between a grimace and a smile on her lips. "Please?" She tacks on before she walks Alphinaud away from listening ears and prying eyes.
"Is something the matter?" He asks, concern laced in his breath.
Amaris' bites at the inside of her cheek, her thumbs rubbing circles into the backs of his hands. "No it isn't that. It's just..." She hesitates as her eyes peering up at his expectant ones — all blue like the sky.
"The cottage is a lot of money." She begins, almost halting at the way his lips pull into a stifled chuckle at her concern of spending his, what usually seems like to her, always endless coffers. "Not only that, but what would your father think? Alphinaud Leveilleur, a resident of Gridania?" She adds as if it really would be such a far fetched concept for either of them to wrap their heads around.
His hands squeeze her own — all reassurance in an attempt to steady. "I do not care what my father has to say on the matter." His voice is as sweet as it always is when it comes to speaking with her.

"I know you don't but..." Her eyes flit around as she metaphorically rustles through the rolodex in her mind of all the reasons why they shouldn't do this. "Another reason, then. If your father didn't approve of it, how could it affect you succeeding him as the head of your house?" She points out rather bluntly.
"I don't believe it wou —"
"Or what about your seat on the Forum? You've been in talks with so many people, worked so hard, and I refuse to let you toss that all away for some cott -" Her words reflect her motions, quick and animated, before she feels the presence of his hand at the back of her head pulling her into his chest.
"Please believe me that you do not need to worry about such things." He says, his hand mimicking her own comforting motions against her back. "Firstly, there is no price too high for your happiness. Should the cottage cost tens of millions of Gil, it would be worth it if it made you smile." He begins, pulling his body away ever-so-slightly so that he can look at her.
"Secondly, even if father were to disapprove, I imagine Alisaie is still as uninterested in the prospect of succeeding him as she was the day she moved off to Idyllshire." Alphinaud reminds her of the reality of the matter, and even in this worried state she has to agree.
"Additionally, the Forum can well wait if they have an issue with my residence here. I will have plenty of moons in the Rostra, of which I am positive."
His hands move from her back to her face - his hands cupping her cheeks with a tender touch.

"Thirdly, but in truth, the most important of the reasons; I will not allow hypothetical concerns for the future stop me from making memories with you in the present." His voice is resolute as when he speaks about his work, the sound moving to even the most distant of sorts. "The only thing that matters to me now is buying you a little cottage here in the Twelveswood so that I, mayhaps a bit selfishly, can have a glimpse into my future with you as my Lady Leveilleur." The sentence is punctuated with a kiss — chaste but not lacking in love.
"It is yours if you want it, you need only say the word." Alphinaud smiles at her, and she cannot help but smile back.
"I would like that very much." Amaris concedes to him, unsurprised by his prowess with convincing even her with his words.
"Consider it done." He says before offering her his arm. She takes it, and before the two can return fully to the Twin Adder representative, she hears Alphinaud's voice call out to him — a request for the representative to ready the paperwork with haste.
As the two discuss the details, she catches a glimpse of Alphinaud's smile. Proud, loving, and directed most distinctly at her.
