Two of these three are dangerous - both reported, both still available for rental in the app. The one on the right has a completely flat tyre, the one on the left is missing it's rear light.

This Lime bike is missing a pedal but, despite me reporting it, Lime still leaves it available for the next customer's time to be wasted. @londoncentric.media

There's no indication on Voi's map that you aren't allowed to ride them in Richmond. But the motor didn't activate until I crossed Kew Bridge. I had to pedal the thing effectively with the brakes applied uphill up Kew Bridge.

Not allowed to park it at the location the app directed me to, how do I end this ride, please @willnorman.co.uk ?

@willnorman.co.uk I need to park it the other side of the green but because this system is designed by a committee of morons, it's in a no go area so no motor for me!

@willnorman.co.uk obviously I can't park a Voi bike here at Kew Green because it's only for Voi Scooters and Lime Bikes.

I thought maybe they were demolishing it, or the scruffy scaffolding was some post-modern architectural statement, but after more than four years under wraps, the covers are finally coming back down off Arc Tower in Ealing. Have people been living in it the whole time?

And here is a map showing the no-go area for Lime escooters. Guess what happened to my rental escooter half way south bound?

I'll use Voi so I don't need to abandon the bike at the borough boundary. But there's only one within a 15 minute walk 😢

Hi @willnorman.co.uk , I need to get from West Ealing to Kew. I'd normally use a Lime bike when I can't use my own, but though Lime bikes are in my area in a usable density, my journey takes me through Hounslow so I need to use another.

The "shared pavement" that gets pedestrians and cyclists from South Ealing Road to Great West Road eastbound.

And marked up two way again just before South Ealing Road, where the nonsense of "how do I cross South Ealing Road" is addressed by a little round blue sign on a pavement that is barely a metre wide at a blind corner.

It's marked as two way just east of the Clayponds junction.

In fact looking at StreetView, there's no indication here that the cycle lane is two way. The more you dig, the more the whole Cycleway has been managed negligently.

Sorry, slow reply (!) but this is exactly why cycle.travel, which generates excellent cycling routes that are biased towards safe peaceful roads says "nuh-uh" to the contraflow bus layby and routed me through a Mercedes garage in preference.

For comparison, here's the West Middlesex Hospital's entire public bike parking. Bikes chained to rails prove the unmet demand! I suppose at least they are sited by the main entrance so relatively easy to find.
Can we start a #bikeparkingathospitals campaign?

True, but I do use it a lot when I stop somewhere unfamiliar and can't see a Sheffield Stand close by. Like you say, organisations should make their cycle parking easy to find. But where they fail, OSM can help.

The CyclOSM layer on OpenStreetMap highlights where cycle parking is available (and even if the parking is covered). Not sure where your photo is taken, but does it show the parking you were unable to find? This doesn't affect your point that you should be able to find it easily.

Sure enough, some people are checking it out.

This is a photo from 1995 when we walked up. It was pretty scary then, though at wider points we were overtaken by a couple in trainers with a baby in a carrier who didn't even feel the need to scramble on the steeper bits.

That led to someone remapping the route based on Strava heatmaps, suggesting that plenty of people are still hiking the route anyway 😱
