Frome (Falmouth in #Sanditon, Truro in Poldark) is reachable by train. Pleasant town with plenty of charity shops and cafes. I was there last June.

This. We have a generation or two now who don’t remember when parties and candidates spoke to their platforms. They have not seen a dignified, respectful debate that was about issues rather than personalities and “us vs. them.” They have rarely seen Congress act in a bipartisan fashion.

Hands off! NGA is one of my favorite museums & living nearby, I’m fortunate to be able to visit often. I’ve traveled the world through the works in the permanent collection & exhibits. This news is heartbreaking. 🎨

So…cut National Park Service staffing (which was already understaffed) and funding but demand more of them. All places at once. Stuck between a rock and a hard place on the National Mall and at parks & monuments in DC and across the country.
