Hell. It's why I adore Char: it's so much fun to try and dig around in that guy's messed up head and ask "why did you think this was a good idea? Why did you think this would work? How much do you loathe yourself and how much do you recognize that?"

One of the big reasons I fell hard for Gundam - and UC Gundam especially, is that it still filled the Space Opera hole in my heart Star Wars left, but had enough political and philosophical themes to really dig into and analyze. The 'messiness' of it all only further helped that.
