For my latest @twistedwonderland.substack.com piece I've written my go-to list of cyberpunk media (film, TV, video games and books). Be warned, it's big, but has links so you can jump to sections of interest. Or if you're an absolute fiend, read the whole thing.

Is colour back in the world? Or slowly leaving us? I decided to investigate, looking at Pantone’s colour of 2026, recession haircuts, bright computers and phones, and a sea of grey cars on the road.

I just watched Mike Flanagan's The Life of Chuck on Netflix, adapted from a Stephen King novella. And I have to say, this Cat-Bus is better.

In 1997, Ultra Nate told us we were free, to do what we want to do. But it was a damn lie.

I like film posters. I always have done. Although I worry they are dwindling as a type of physical media. So I want to fly the flag for this format and urge people to support them. Buy them, stick them on your walls, talk about them. Preserve this type of art.

My copy of Hardwired by Walter Jon Williams finally arrived. Took a whole month in the post. It is considered one of the seminal cyberpunk novels. Pleased to add this to my collection and I look forward to reading it. #cyberpunk #books

For my latest article I've written about the return of buttons! Specifically the mechanical analogue kind, and I've focused on cars and mobile phones, as an area where we're likely seeing a return to older tech that worked well. open.substack.com/pub/twistedw...

Just finished The Walking Dead games and was not prepared for how invested I'd be in Clementine's story. She's 8 when the apocalypse starts, and 16 by the end. I rooted for her every step of the way.

I haven't cared as much about the fate of a character since Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan.

For my latest piece I've done an epic 2026 video game preview: all the games I'm most excited to play, or at least interested in. There's a few surprises in there too, like the ‘80s coming-of-age game Mixtape, and the 2.5D cinematic cyberpunk platformer, Replaced.

I was just looking at my Letterboxd for 2025, and I've watched about 50 films. It felt light, but apparently the average person watches about 35 a year. Mine is a mixed bunch. The winter months at each end being the high points.

I am going to try and watch more older movies in 2026, I think.

I finally watched horror-comedy The Lair of the White Worm (1988), with Peter Capaldi and Hugh Grant. It was a little slow in the first half, but things picked up in the second, with moments involving a UV tanning bed, bagpipes, a mongoose and a grenade, and Hugh Grant swinging a longsword.
