✈️ New employees are paid a City Living Wage
✈️ Workers are provided health insurance and other benefits

Southwest Airlines employees are largely unionized— about 85% are covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, in which workers have a say.

This allows us to quickly activate local emergency operations centers, request state assistance, and reassign staff or equipment for fire protection.

The declaration can only last for 7 days. Thursday, Oct. 23rd City Council will vote whether or not to extend the declaration.
