Helping lead the fight to get Essendon out of pokies: nope.org.au
Haven't seen it reported - probably as it doesn't get people as emotional as trade rumours, but last month Orizontas, a 'boutique corporate advisory consultancy' featuring a bunch of former politicians and political advisers, filed a trademark objection to the Gold Coast Suns' refreshed 2025 logo.

Made a few charts & bits last week that prove what we know - Collingwood is old.

This assertion in this headline once and for all proves that Barney Ronay was not on my family road trip to Tathra in 1996, where my selection for our new car’s CD stacker was the We Want A Wicket single by Greg Champion & The Music Men that came with a copy of Inside Edge magazine

Also interesting to note that losses at Essendon’s Melton Country Club (90 EGMs), which until 2019 had been lower than Windy Hill (100 EGMs), are now about $2m higher in recent years.

Makes Carlton’s win last week all the more remarkable given they apparently haven’t won a quarter since round 7…

Kicks into forward 50, footy group chats, and perhaps giving the impression that I don't know that a mark is also a type of possession.

Updated the timeline of Essendon directors.

With the recent addition of Catriona Larritt, there's now more board members who joined after Barham's coup, than those who were there for it.

made a graphviz diagram of what it means for Essendon to lose their two starting rucks within the space of 7 days.

With Qantas' Catriona Larritt joining the Essendon board, all 10 seats are now filled without a replacement for Dean Rioli who was appointed on the back of the external review's recommendations for First Nations representation at board level.

Hoping for more of this tonight.

(Except that this was after we scored a behind - more goals instead please)

The AFL is exactly the kind of organisation infected with manager-brain that looks at a problem of its own making and decides Ai is the solution.

The overreach with personal data is even more concerning when you look at their track record on integrity.

Pretty excited about the changes coming to the AFL this season, as first announced in the 2004 grand final edition of the Footy Record.

2003 coaches just gave 5 - 1 votes to 5 players across the league (excluding their own team) at the end of the season.

2004 used current format & were revealed weekly on Talking Footy before being held over for last few weeks ahead of an awards night ep. Have only seen top 19 totals.

I didn't forgot North Melbourne, I just couldn't find a pre-2000 version and wanted to keep it in the 90s. Let me know if you do.

Anyway, this is what the AFL's deal with Telstra took from us. Will we ever again see a club so bold as to post screensavers that require a 25-step set of instructions?
