I'm going to cheat slightly here and go for a 5-in-1: The Psycho Rangers from In Space & Lost Galaxy. They were a real challenge, lasted multiple episodes, spanned two series, appeared in a crossover and, via the Pink Psycho, were even responsible for the loss of a Ranger.

Reflecting the real-life tragic loss of Thuy Trang several years ago the death of Trini in Once & Always hit a bit too close. Coupled with losing Jason David Frank during the filming meant that the dedication at the end was an extremely devastating experience.

Lauren Shiba. OK they were hampered by how Princess Shinken Red was used in Shinkenger but in PR she was important as the first (good guy) female Red Ranger & team leader. Plus Kimberley Crossman is brilliant and should have had a bigger part.

This one is for my many Ninja Storm loving friends out there. Only Lothor has the charm, the camp bitchy factor and the sheer sense of fun, whilst remaining no pushover. And honestly who hasn't felt a bit like turning their sibling into a guinea pig once or twice?

Idec what anyone else says, E6 of #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy was EXCELLENT! Awesome action, high stakes, tension, Oscar level actors playing off each other & an ending that made me feel! I need to see comeuppance! That's three 10 out of 10 episodes in a row for me. This series is crushing it!

I hate 99% of them. A rare exception is Boom from SPD. Kelson Henderson has comedy chops, but there's more to our Boom. His heart of gold, surprise courage, hero worship & importance to the mission make him more than one-note childish jokes. Comic relief done right.

Day 10: Series you love but others don't
Samurai got me back into PR after a long break. I was shocked how unpopular it is in fandom. A big criticism is that it's too similar to the Sentai source, but why is that bad? Given the heavy Japanese cultural influence did they have any choice? I dug it.

Bare with me! We all know how badly adaptating Gokaiger was fudged. But one of my biggest issues is that we only got 18 episodes. With 20 more they could give each season a proper tribute, adapt things like Basco, & give plot points a proper explanation!
