I got my #WesAnderson DVDs yesterday. I bought them via Barnes & Noble during the Criterion Collection 50% sale. I also snagged a copy of The French Dispatch along with The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, and Moonrise Kingdom. Not bad for a DVD haul. Glad to have these now.

So, I remember seeing a still of this film, particularly Bill Murray, years ago. I throughly enjoy each vignette with the central theme of conversations over coffee and cigarettes. I love how uniquely awkward it is. Put it on and watch it unfold. ☕️🚬

A ★★★★★ review of Coffee and Cigarettes (2003)
A film where all you need is coffee and cigarettes to get through each conversation or moment in time. Is the discourse profound per vignette? Some, but not all. Is it awkward sometimes? Yes. I enjoye...

A ★★★★★ review of Bullet Train (2022)
Coincidentally, it all started and ended with a water bottle. Otherwise, it's a high octane hilarious action picture. I definitely want to see a Tangerine & Lemon prequel spin-off film now. 🍊🍋

What a fascinating documentary. It dives into the Brat Pack and everything that circle it from the inside with the actors/casting/producers to the people who watched and wrote it about in the realm of Pop Culture. It's a neat look inside of it all.

So candid and raw. Watching this on the Breakfast Club detention date brings in the perspective on their stories from the inside rather what we as the audience see on the outside. It's fascinating. I ...

If you are an #ArchieComics fan, then I highly recommend this film. It's charming, cute, and sweet. The essence is there with the music and especially the casting of the characters. The city of Riverdale and world building makes it feel you are there with everyone. It's fun. boxd.it/9094xX
A ★★★★★ review of The Archies (2023)

This is my favorite Wes Anderson film now. It's charming & quirky in all the right places. The vignettes are nicely crafted. What a visional treat. I enjoyed every bit. Every frame is breathtaking. The dialogue is very quick & snappy. This is what cinema could be and more. #Letterboxd

So, I finished Season 2 of #QuantumLeap, and the storytelling has been grand. That season finale with AL being M.I.A. was a tear-jerker. Now, I'm halfway through the show as I start Season 3. When it comes to writing and performances, this show pulls if off. Spectacular on every level. 👏 ✨️
Watching #QuantumLeap 35 years after its premiere just feels like I missed out on this wonderful show. I'm connected to how well the writing in each episode stands out, especially being a time travel slice of life series. Seeing Sam solve these situational scenarios is very comforting to me. 😊

Next, I saw a soured & soiled story of Romeo and Juliet from 2013. It felt rushed as the CliffsNotes film that it is without much of the dialogue we all know & love. Stay away unless you want to see Paul Giamatti give a grand performance like no other. Otherwise, bland. boxd.it/8RE9O1 #Letterboxd
