Too funny. I'm a writer and I know the feeling.

Agreed. I've done all kinds of manly things today. I made breakfast for my wife, did dishes, then used power tools to fix furniture, then repaired a knife by putting a new handle on it. I didn't feel any less manly for working in the kitchen.

They also think that slavery was a good thing, and that African-Americans were better off as slaves. As crazy as that sounds, Doug Wilson and his followers are making the case that slavery was okay.

I'm a Christian trained in seminary, and there's very little of Christ in 'Christian' Nationals. It's a gross perversion of what Jesus told us to stand for.

A lot of scientists also believe in God. There is no real conflict between the two. There is however, bad forms of religion, which I also reject.

While Sagan made some good points, he makes many fundamental errors: he sets up a false dichotomy between faith (belief in God) and science (reason), and uses a lot of straw man argumentation (using anti-science creationism as his example of faith).
I recommend John Lennox, 'Gunning for God'.

Make Slavery Great Again. The next step is to have the detainees work for free in factories 'to earn their keep'.

It looks like it to us here in Canada too. My wife is American but we won't travel to Amerikkka anymore.

Then that's very bad indeed, because it is looking pretty awful from up North in Canada. Masked goons grabbing people off the streets like SS Nazis; a madman claiming he's got alien medical technology sitting in the White House. Yup, it's like watching a dystopian movie.

Yes, but the question is, will they follow their immoral or unlawful orders?

I'm more worried about the generals. Trump returns to 51st state rhetoric in speech to generals. This is highly disturbing. It will no longer be a just talk once he gets the generals behind him.
