Were the Daleks great, though? I hope we see more of them.

I’d not watched/listened to the Christmas sequence before. I thought it was cute.

Clarification: Vicki has not left to go to an orgy. Probably worth spelling that out. She’s fallen in love and is getting married, just like Susan did and, possibly, as Barbara did.

Christmas Tree Guy, who might be called Beaus, is everything I love about the show. Just a ridiculous monster and yet it works. And works well. While you’re here: this story is called “Mission to the Unknown” and not “Dalek Cutaway,” whatever compelling evidence there might be to the contrary.

First episode is simply wonderful. Superb direction and sets, wringing everything from limited resources.

Awful moment when the Vikings turn up, though, as it’s pretty obvious (To me at least) that a woman is raped offscreen. The more times I watch this otherwise truly excellent story, the more upsetting it becomes.

Likewise, if this is a difficult time for you, then do what’s comfortable you need to feel comfortable and don’t feel awkward about it. Either way, as a much missed beautiful human being and fellow yulephile often told me. “know you are loved.”

Oh, but he looks amazing, doesn’t he? We watched the whole evening, my wife and I, entranced. Sometimes angry that something so wonderful was no longer being made, but mostly just lost in delight at it all.
Mark looked amazing. He really should do it again.

The middle sequence with Frankenstein and Dracula is just so odd, though, isn’t it? The last section with the Mechonoids is so great I often forget about the first two sections.

I’ve been watching since I was three (Way too young!) I always knew the Doctor would save the day. Scooby Doo scared me silly, however.

Weird thing in episode 1 about them wearing different clothes. Really odd.
