I'll really hesitate to splash out on £20 for a game on sale, but also hardly flinch at spending that on two pints in the pub here in Norway. I suppose it feels like you're buying a toy instead of 'grown up' things

Honestly it's hard to take Your Party seriously when this guy calls counter protesting nazis "equally absurd". He needs to be nowhere near YP!

He's a landlord and transphobe who "both sides" nazis. He should be nowhere near any party on the left!

They've been pushing hard for it from the top, but now people have been forced to use it for long enough that there's data showing it's not actually improving anything. The numbers are backing the skepticism. The CEOs still blame the workers for not using AI 'right', of course. Maybe it just sucks!!

This also works seamlessly with the "everyone is twelve" theory

The same politicians and leaders who avoid advice by real experts and exhaustive studies based on real world data, suddenly are happy to blindly do what their computer friend says because it speaks nicely to them

It's impressive how Tim has like 3 different "versions" of himself and he trusts his audience to follow along when he switches between them, all posting on the same account

I just got caught up, and this bit through to "Mark E Smith's top 10 colognes" had me absolutely struggling not to ugly laugh on the train

Something with Capaldi, maybe Oxygen? It's a solid sci-fi episode and he's good enough to win someone over, especially if they like dark humour. But I'm not so well versed in the classic era

In the last I Hate Doctor Who, when you were talking about how we used to have such restricted access to films and only a few telly channels... it's hard not to sound like an old fart but it was *better* 😅

I didn't even get his point in the first place, which seemed to be: "food in America is great because of the multicultural influences; food in Britain is boring and yucky *we don't get to include the food from other cultures because for reasons*"

Brian goes to America, there's a whole bit on the Church of Latter Day Saints, it writes itself! (poorly)

One difference is the conservative right had (have) power to block things. That film got banned; in the US books are being banned from schools. The left aren't literally cancelling anything, in that sense. Just exercising an audience's right to boo, or not buy the ticket in the first place

That was my response just now too! I was aware of the show but wasn't interested enough to try it, but if has the Priscilla seal of quality then I have to watch it
