Today, I’m remembering the courage of John McCain when he voted to protect the ACA and keep millions of Americans from losing insurance.

Protecting and strengthening healthcare for the American people should be something both parties can agree on, and I won’t stop fighting for it.

As we reflect on the legacy of the strongest Speaker in American history, we are watching the weakest in real time.

Even Republicans are admitting it—Mike Johnson has his members at home on a 6-week vacation instead of in D.C. working to end this shutdown with Democrats.

Health care premiums are soaring, prices are up and workers aren’t being paid, all while Johnson does NOTHING.

He’s a total joke.

I just visited the food distribution at the Community Resource Center in Encinitas. They are having a huge increase in SNAP recipients who need help.

It is immoral, illegal, and inconceivable that the Trump Administration would attempt to use hunger as political leverage.

As of today, the shutdown has now tied the longest in U.S. history.

While families face soaring health premiums and workers go unpaid, Speaker Mike Johnson says there’s “no point” in doing his job.

The weakest Speaker ever.

I’m ready to vote NOW to protect health care and reopen government.

Trump’s USDA is threatening to ILLEGALLY and IMMORALLY block food aid that Congress funded, using hunger as a political weapon.

While 40 million Americans worry about groceries, he throws a Great Gatsby party at Mar-a-Lago.

The cruelty isn’t accidental, it’s the point.

Today, VOTE YES on Prop 50. Texas’ radical gerrymandering leaves us no real choice. This is about fairness and protecting democracy itself.

How can Congress negotiate to reopen the government if Republicans refuse to even show up? For FIVE WEEKS IN A ROW, Mike Johnson has refused to call his members back.

Johnson is the weakest Speaker in American history.

If Secretary Noem thinks the Coast Guard needs modernization, she should start with the vessels and rescue gear that save lives, not a flying five-star hotel to help herself travel in style.

Because that’s not public service, it’s self-serving corruption.
