I mean, standing on a stage and telling a large crowd of presumably interested and invested people your new album is out that day isn't the worst form of promo, is it. You just have to also consider they're not in an environment to do anything with that information and might then forget it.

You _could_ be too otherwise engaged with the faff of playing the festival to do all the necessary OUR ALBUM IS OUT TODAY posting. Also, does it delay the sending of orders at all? Double also, might it impact a release show, which could be a good promo thing?
