The art of the steal…
Phase 1 of hedgerow and tree planting completed! Thanks to @derbyswildlife.bsky.social for all their help with this from assessment, survey, obtaining the c.1,200 plants & helping us plant them. It was hard work but worth it! All part of the Derwent Living Forest scheme. Phase 2 to follow in Oct.

We have just spent a day planting c750 trees/hedging plants with the help of two peeps from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. It looks awful due to the plastic tree guards, but give it about 3 years and we’ll have a haven for wildlife. Now gloriously knackered!

X has just reminded me it is exactly 13 years today since I joined Twitter. I enjoyed it until the last couple of years. Musk has destroyed it. So, one thing I can say is that I won’t be on X for much longer.

A new day dawning…hopefully appropriate for my first post on Bluesky. It feels tentative like my first post on Twitter in 2011. I really hope Bluesky can avoid becoming the cesspit that X has become. Anyway…hello!
