Appreciate that most football likers don't pay attention to the National League South, but my local team Worthing is absolutely flying atm.

Four classic albums from the S section... but which are you playing first?

Or even the least-effort-made 'promo only' signage.

Do music journalists still get watermarked cds or are they fully done with in our digital-everything era?

Hi, it's me, the guy still buying three CDs for £1.30 at the charity shop.

My first console. Sold it all in the 90s. Have steadily reacquired consoles, games and accessories in the last few years. This control stick. Honestly.

The Xbox 360 got me back into video games, having really only lightly dabbled through the previous two generations. Had I not had redundancy money in my pocket while passing the Game downstairs at Hamley's that one time, I'm pretty sure games wouldn't have been my career for the last decade+.

Related: wrote a whole book about video game consoles.

People like it. It got good reviews. It's out there, if yr interested.

Just finished a fourth proofing round on Aliens: The Video Games. I'm super proud of it, and really hope folks enjoy it as much as I did writing it.

That's out next year. If you fancied supporting my work this year, please consider Retro Gaming as a Christmas gift. Your purchases pay me pennies! TY

Was listening to a YT video about the PS2, but the presenter just called the Panasonic Q one of the worst-looking consoles of all time.

On a related PS2 budget game tip... Super Bust-a-Move is another £1 Cex special, and it's fine, obviously, because it's Puzzle Bobble. But just when you thought that cover couldn't do you more damage, you see the spine...

Probably the best quid I've spent in Cex. #randomgamesaturday

All middle-aged guys have a run like this in the Bs of their alphabetised CD collection. Facts.
November 15, 2025 at 8:03 PM
A very amusing comment in a little bbc video on Instagram, about some pub quiz cheaters. 90s hip-hop - who else but the middle-aged is more ideally placed to get questions on that right?
