I like your ideas for addressing it, or at least it’s a nice explanation if someone ever asked. Do you imagine playing with the language barrier in your writing? I do, although it’s more of a sci-fi version. It’s fun to dig into the misunderstandings.

I can’t imagine writing dialogue without knowing what someone is thinking. Plus, I think it’s more fun for the reader to see a character’s thought expressing ‘no way because I’m super afraid’ ideally through actions like fidgeting or whatever, and then they say yes 🤣

A bit of everything? I definitely visualize everything. That’s not really a choice, it just happens.
Much of my time is spent considering what a character is thinking versus what they say. To me, those differences are the best place to put my thought energy🤷‍♀️
