It may have taken a few weeks, but it appears as though the Washington Post has finally corrected an alarming factual error about a Montreal landmark in a piece it published last month.

In my case, my complaints were related to multiple government ministries that refused to respond to my requests for records related to meetings with lobbyists from the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and the Pathways Alliance of oilsands companies.

The Alberta government of Premier Danielle Smith breached the provincial Freedom of Information Act, says a provincial watchdog in response to 34 complaints filed by me. The finding was also in response to some articles published by a national newspaper — the Globe — following my own complaints.

If only there were dedicated tracks… this trip would be so much faster and convenient. The train only reached these speeds for about 15-20 min of two hour journey from Montreal to Ottawa.

Absolutely ridiculous. The MPs who played along — Peter Julian from the NDP and James Bezan from the Conservatives — should know better.
It seems to me that this is a shameful & cowardly attack on journalism from people using their parliamentary immunity to avoid being sued.
