From what little I’ve managed to watch of Elite 1 rugby, Bordeaux play a relatively English-style game (as opposed eg to mad offloading). Whether that style is carried forward by the national team, and whether it works for France, we’ll see.

Good game. Have to say, Samoa looked better equipped to survive a RWC. Heroic effort by the Belgians but I'd've feared for them.

💯 Those two produced teams playing at a level way above what ought to have been possible. Rouet would be my coach of the year by a wide margin.

Yeah this. Mitchell deserves praise - England improved under his watch. But man oh man did he get dealt the good cards when he took over at England. He stands on the shoulders of giantesses.
