Republican Appropriations Chair Ann Bollin could hardly explain herself when grilled by journalists on Off The Record -- it's hard to be held accountable when you strip Michiganders of nearly $645 million in community projects, isn't it?
Protecting kids should never be political. Michigan House Republicans cut funding from organizations that support children going through the unspeakable — programs that provide care, counseling and justice. Survivors deserve compassion and support, not cruel GOP clawbacks.

House Dems believe everyone should be able to put food on the table. Thanks to Trump's SNAP changes, millions in food aid could slip through the cracks here in Michigan, putting our neighbors and communities at risk — all for political gain.

Health care is supposed to be about people, not politics. By stripping millions in resources, the MI House GOP pulled the rug out from under local hospitals that are already stretched thin, especially in rural communities. House Dems will continue fighting for accessible care.

Let's be real, families are stretched thin. Matt Hall ripped away $645M in already promised funds that could have helped communities across the state. Sending Michigan dollars back to DC while people struggle isn't leadership; it's a choice.

Expecting a baby shouldn't come with extra uncertainty, yet House Republicans stripped hundreds of millions of dollars from local resource providers, including support for expectant moms and new families. Providing less support at the time when folks need it most is unreal.

You can tell a lot about someone by their priorities. With costs up for, well, everything, House Republicans decided now was the time to claw back $645 million in community funds. Less help for Michiganders, more political games.

Christmas calls us to lead with compassion. In Michigan, that means standing up for working families, protecting our neighbors and building an economy and government that puts people first, not politics or special interests. 🎄

Family and tradition matter in Michigan. On Nochebuena, we honor culture, community and the right for every family to have their needs met. These are values that should guide our policies and ensure every Michigander can celebrate with security and respect. ✨

Blind obedience to authority is the greatest enemy of truth, and the truth is that Matt Hall's only goal when clawing back already promised funds is to have people kowtow to him and inflate his ego. This is not how government should work.
