While I agree with the problem (bad actors being covered), i think it is just a philosophical difference. I believe we need nuances, constructivism and objectivity at any cost.

Just thought about this argument. "They are in a strong position, they can take it." I dont think fairness works that way though.

Yes, that's fair that the article covers well the ways to evaluate.

Anyway, sorry for invading your feed, i just felt there is a need for toning down the praise this (mostly good) article is getting. Thanks for exchanging on this!

GenAI is for sure 90% unethical in how hardcore capitalistic actors are approaching it, but did we just miss the opportunity to elevate the debate beyond the usual partisan circus?
November 20, 2025 at 5:13 AM
I feel his article, while being well researched and articulated, is highly biased, lacked concrete evidences and is a missed opportunity to demonstrate this is a topic we can talk about with nuances and openmindedness. (TBC)

He took one of the better examples of a company trying to explore in meaningful and considerate way, as a focus point of a take down piece. We need the debates, we need the nuances, we need the different points of view, so that we can grow. (TBC)

in soothing our own personal insecurities at others' expenses (not sure that translates right in English). This lost part of our culture as a society worries me way more than AI, even if voth will toxically feed each other. (TBC)

Thanks for answering, I just think we just don't need to punch, up or down doesn't matter (obviously down would be even worse). The world is polarized enough, as a society we lost the skills to disagree constructively. We are way more interested in scoring points with our tribe and (TBC)

About the video, are you sure these lines are the ones using TTS? It may be the case, possibly, I am just not sure. I dont know if you played the game, but there are a few traders characters like this one, others are more emotive, this one seems designed to contrast with the others.

I like Tommy and his work, but I think this one was just a bad take.

Are we able as players to say which voice lines went through their AI pipeline? Do any of us know how the actors were informed and compensated? If not, can we actually have a fair judgement? If they informed actors about it, and compensated properly, isn't it an actual example of ethical use of AI?
November 19, 2025 at 10:40 PM
It's a bit weird to hear people talking about ethics but having no problem pushing a team in the mud while he actually has no insight of what was actually done, while using it to push himself upwards... As I posted somewhere else: (TBC)

Actually, none of it is answered? Please point me if I have missed the information. My point is his analysis can be interesting, it's well articulated. There is nothing new, but it's nicely put together. Though should he really name a team/project about which he has no information?
November 19, 2025 at 10:40 PM
I dont understand. We dont know which voice lines were generated, we dont know how it was done, we dont know how it was communicated to voice actors and we dont know how the remuneration was set up. What was there to analyze?

We need to push back on the banks choosing what we can buy orn ot. We also need to push back on social media stupidity that reads what's not written. There is nothing in the story that tells us they target by name or even that it was related to the problem at hand.

who has their phone in the shower though?!

GenAI isnt just asset generation. Gemini meeting notes automation or Copilot github code review are also GenAI.
November 12, 2025 at 6:31 AM
Google gemini notes taking? Github copilot code review bot?
November 12, 2025 at 6:28 AM
Wouldn't it be the contrary? Slow the development in the short term, raise quality in long term? The time tools, process and culture adapt to new paradigm, it will be hard. Once it's assimilated, they can reap benefits.

It would allow to make QA specialists much more integrated and focused too.
November 6, 2025 at 4:22 PM
I wonder how they aim to calculate "% of QA testing". Is this ratio on walkthrough completion? Test cases? Budget? Time spent? It's normal to want to apply automation to QA (it's already done a lot), and AI is a normal step, it will also change how we code things, use in game-error, warnings, etc.
